I Dr Pronoti Singh, live, breathe and work from Lucknow, a city I was born in 1959. My passion for gardening, a masters degree in Botany, PhD in genetic science , a career of thirty eight years in teaching different branches of botany and my fascination for nature gave birth to a series of paintings on flowers named ‘You Fascinate Me’.
Painting was a childhood hobby but growing responsibilities and career pushed it to the forgotten.
A few years back a visit to the Van Gogh and other art museums rekindled the spark and a box of paints gifted by my daughter started my present journey of painting. I’m self taught and yet to exhibit my work but more than twenty paintings have been picked by individuals and some organizations. I like watercolors but I mostly work with acrylic paints on canvas of the size 3 feet by 2 feet. Though flowers are my favorite’s I’ve worked on landscapes , birds and horses. Nature untouched by pollution and gadgets form the theme of my paintings.
