This dusk followed the wedding celebrations of my daughter and her shifting into her new world. We were back home and here was this inviting moment of the setting sun which seemed too good to be missed. The parting had seemed to be emotionally draining but as I sat in this golden glow, it occurred that just as we cannot force the sun to stay in the sky I too must make peace with the fact that no matter how much I loved her, it’s time to let go. I accepted the transition and acknowledging the reality let her go. In this painting I have tried to preserve on canvas the memory of this very moment.
